How Blogo works

What “Fix automatically” does, and what stays with you

When the final review finds problems it can fix, it offers one button: “Fix automatically”. The fix does not rewrite the article. A model returns a list of exact pieces of text to replace or delete, and code applies them one by one. Headings, pictures and picture credits cannot change, and anything not named in the list stays as it was. Afterwards the facts are checked again and you are shown what changed.

Before the fix: your numbers

If the draft has figures with no source, the review first asks “Do you know these numbers?” and lists up to five of the sentences. Type your real figure, or choose “I don’t know”.

Your answers go into the fix with you. A real figure is added to your own evidence and saved for later articles; the fix may then keep the sentence with your number. The button itself takes two clicks. The first shows how many paid steps will run, the second confirms.

How an edit is applied

The model receives the list of problems and the article. It must answer with a list of edits, each one a “find” and a “replace”. The “find” has to be text copied exactly from the article: one sentence, one list item or one table row. An empty “replace” means delete.

Code then does the replacing. An edit is skipped when:

  • its “find” text is not in the article character for character;
  • it touches a heading, a picture or a picture credit line;
  • its replacement would add a heading, a picture or a credit line.

What each kind of problem turns into

The instruction depends on what the checks found.

  • A value found wrong or out of date: replace it with the correct value, change as little of the sentence as possible, and link the source on two to four words.
  • A confirmed figure whose source is not linked yet: keep the wording and add the link inside that sentence.
  • A figure with no source: say the point without the figure, plainly, or delete the sentence if nothing useful remains. Softening it with “varies” or “typically” is not allowed.
  • A statement no usable page backs: if your own answers say it, restate it in the first person as your own practice or observation; otherwise delete it. It may not be blurred with “may” or “can vary”.
  • A writing problem tied to a paragraph, such as a stock phrase or a sentence repeated across your site: rewrite that paragraph only, keeping its facts, figures and links and adding none.

Which sources the fix may link

The fact check finds pages through web search, and those are sometimes the very pages your article competes with. The fix never links a page on your do-not-link list. On a landing or category page it links only recognised authority sites, because a product page should not send buyers to another business; without one, the sentence keeps its point and loses the figure.

After the fix

If no edit could be applied, the fix is rejected and the original draft is kept. The same happens if the headings, pictures or credit lines of the result differ from before.

Otherwise the corrected text goes through the figure check and the fact check again, because an answer that looks right is not proof that a correction landed. The picture checks carry over, since the pictures did not change.

The review then shows “What the last auto-fix changed”, statement by statement. Where the exact sentence cannot be located, it says so instead of guessing.

A text that has already been through a fix is not sent back for another round of writing repairs. This keeps the fix from turning into a paid loop.

What stays with you

The fix cannot add knowledge. If the page lacks new information, only another answer from you or a source with new data resolves it. It cannot change a heading, replace a picture or settle a brand-rule conflict.

Suggestions are yours to take or leave. And the last decision is always yours: nothing goes to WordPress until you press the button, and it goes as a draft.

Questions

Can the fix introduce a new fact or number?
It is instructed not to: corrections may use only the correct value the fact check found, with its source, or your own answers. The corrected text is then checked again like the original.
What if I disagree with one of the changes?
Open the list of what changed and compare. If a correction is wrong, do not send the draft; where the review offers “Rewrite to fix”, that runs the writing step again, which is a separate paid step you start yourself.
Why can’t the fix change a heading?
Headings come from the outline you confirmed, and picture checks are tied to where each picture sits. An earlier version that returned a whole rewritten page kept rewording headings, and every one of those results had to be thrown away.
Will the fix overwrite something I marked as my own experience?
No. A statement accepted as your first-hand experience is left out of the corrections, so an outside “correct value” never replaces your own figure.
